The King of Rock and Roll lives!  And he’s Josh’s dad.  A hilarious story about a thirteen year old boy living in Chicago with his “Elvis impersonator” dad. Shelley Pearsall interviewed more than two dozen Elvis impersonators in her research for this fiction novel.  A fun choice for summer reading or an all-school read!

Quick Classroom Idea

On page 14 in All Shook Up, Josh says you can tell a lot about a person by their coffee mug.  Using art supplies, have students design and decorate their own paper coffee mugs with slogans and illustrations that reflect their individuality and personality.
