COMMUNITY READS & LIBRARY EVENTS

Common Reads are books that an entire school, library district, or city reads together.  They are sometimes called One Book, One Community events or Big Reads. They are designed to bring readers of all ages together for a common purpose--to promote literacy and a sense of community.

Two of Shelley's books, The Seventh Most Important Thing and All of the Above, are frequently chosen as Common Reads because of their community themes and their appeal to both youth and adults.

For 2020-2021, Shelley is available for virtual sessions at Common Reads events and other conferences nationwide. If you are interested in a free promotional video/shout-out from Shelley for your Big Read event, contact the author.
